This week’s Advocate Spotlight is Val Senegal. She is the Education Director at Hearts of Hope. 

Val’s favorite thing about being an advocate: “Helping parents, college professionals and fatih base leaders PREVENT incidences of SV through policy change, behavioral change programs and continuing education.”

Challenges for advocacy: “Reaching all of our designated rural parishes areas that are severely limited in resources to address this issue.”

Val’s fun fact: “I love my German Shepherd to pieces!!! Shopping or travel- I choose travel, travel, travel because it’s better to have a passport full of stamps than a house full of stuff.”
